A child was assaulted during a game, on the pitch by an adult male at a junior match in South Cumbria.

The incident took place yesterday, Sunday March 2, at Allithwaite Community Centre, in Allithwaite, near Grange-over-Sands.

A statement from South Lakes Police was posted on their social media which stared the following,

“A disturbing incident occurred this afternoon at Allithwaite Community Centre.

“During an under 14s football game a child was assaulted on the pitch by an adult male.

“If anybody has any information in relation to this assault, please can they contact us quoting log number CP-20250303-0121.”
