Statement from Manchester FA

Manchester FA has been made aware of a report of an incident where a child wearing glasses was injured on the field of play.

These reports are currently being investigated and Manchester FA is working with our neighbouring County FA’s and The FA to seek clarity on the events.

No change in the FA’s ruling on the use of eyewear on a football field has come into place. For clarity, it is at the discretion of the match day referee to determine if they are happy for the match to continue.
