Nine-year-old Viktor, who plays for South Coast Ballers FC Ultras U10s, travelled with his dad, Kamil, to a football tournament last weekend — a trip that was meant to be filled with football, memories, and family moments.

Instead, Viktor and his family experienced unimaginable heartbreak when Kamil tragically passed away in the early hours of the morning during the tournament.

In the midst of devastating grief, Viktor made a decision that left teammates, parents, and coaches deeply emotional. Just hours after losing his father, he chose to step onto the pitch for his first match of the day.

Then came a moment nobody there will ever forget.

With incredible composure and courage, Viktor scored a stunning 20-yard free kick — a goal that earned him the tournament’s U10 Magic Moment Award before many even knew the heartbreak he was carrying inside.

Those who witnessed it said it was far more than just a football moment. It was a display of remarkable strength, resilience, and love for the dad who had supported him every step of the way.

Inspired by Viktor and united behind their teammate, South Coast Ballers FC Ultras went the entire weekend unbeaten, playing for Viktor, for Kamil, and for each other.

Kamil was described by friends and fellow parents as one of the funniest, kindest, and most selfless people anyone could meet. A devoted husband and incredible father, he was known as the heart of the football community — someone who welcomed everyone, made people laugh, and dedicated his life to his children.

Following the tragedy, the club and wider community have rallied together to support Viktor, his siblings, and their mum during the most difficult time imaginable. A fundraising campaign has been launched to help cover funeral costs and support the children’s future — something Kamil worked tirelessly every day to provide for.
