I took this role as coach because YOU wouldn’t, Not to get grief!!

I’m a manager of an U9’s grassroots team. I have enjoyed doing this for some time now and really enjoy the coaching side of it.

I love to give back to the kids and it gives me great satisfaction to see the kids develop and progress.

However, after the way parents approached me post match at the weekend after a tournament in a manner totally unacceptable, and humiliated me in front of my 8 year old son, after a heavy defeat, forgetting that it is children’s football, all for what!!

Because we lost a couple of games and didn’t get to the semis or final like they thought we would!!!

Since when did children’s football, become about the parents?? A beautiful game ruined again, by the minority (and they were parents).

I didn’t take on the role as a manager to get grief from parents.

I would like you to share this, with as many people as possible in the hope that the penny drops with someone somewhere.
